For Sky
The seasons shift
an angry tempest rages against a shore
open shutters permit the sound of rain
there are roses on a well-traveled sidewalk
long silk curtains
are light blue and the sky is granite gray
the air is cold and now
the seagulls have flown
we will count the miles ahead
after the storm
but nothing splendid is forgotten
as you are reinvented once again
somewhere on the wind
somewhere beyond
the mirror and the sky
invisible but forever in the heart
